Born in Lloyd's Lab.

Lloyd's Lab is the insurtech accelerator of Lloyd's of London. Working inside it, with syndicates and underwriters, we saw that the collections behind policies, estates, and balance sheets lacked the governance every other asset class takes for granted: no complete inventory, no defensible values, and so no way to manage the risk. We built Title to close that gap, and we work the same way for everyone who is responsible for a collection.

George Fortin, MBA

Managing Director

George leads the firm and the client work. He spent over a decade in real estate private equity at PSP Investments, one of Canada's largest pension fund managers, leading large-scale developments across North America with art placemaking, WELL certification, and sustainability reporting built into the investment process.

He founded Title inside Lloyd's Lab, Lloyd's of London's insurtech accelerator, after seeing with syndicates and underwriters that collections lacked the governance every other institutional asset class takes for granted. He brings that discipline, financial risk management applied to art and collectibles, to every engagement.

Sahil Dawka, MEng

Director of AI and Engineering

Sahil builds and runs the tools behind the work: Steward, the register our clients' collections live on, and the models that watch for drift in value and documentation. His background is enterprise platform architecture, systems built to be audited.

His standard for the toolbox is the same as the firm’s for the work: every change attributed and timestamped, the model as a trigger and never the arbiter, and nothing for the client to install.

Alex Kwok, MFA

Director of Collection Management and Operations

Alex runs the collection work: inventory, cataloguing to the Getty Object ID standard, and the coordination of specialists on every valuation. He built that expertise on TD Bank's curatorial team, managing one of Canada's largest corporate art collections, over 6,000 works across more than 1,000 locations.

He has implemented collection management systems at institutions and knows how institutional collections actually operate, not how they look from the outside. That is the experience behind every inventory we deliver.

Pascal Kropf, PhD

Director of Data Science

Pascal leads the firm's research and data work. Art and collectibles are unique objects, which makes them a hard large-scale data problem: few comparable transactions, and most of them unrecorded. His research on automated valuation models is the basis of our position that a model can flag drift, and only a qualified appraiser can set a value.

He builds the quarterly read: the scoring of a book for documentation gaps and probable drift in value, so the expensive work of appraisal happens only where it is needed.
