The Challenge

A financial services firm maintained a corporate art collection of approximately 180 works across offices in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Their previous appraisal vendor had retired, and the firm’s facilities team, responsible for the collection alongside their primary duties, needed to coordinate a full revaluation for insurance compliance.

Finding qualified appraisers in each city, coordinating schedules, and managing the logistics of on-site visits was beyond the team’s bandwidth.

The Outcome

The revaluation was completed in six weeks, at a 45% cost reduction against the firm’s previous vendor arrangement, with one audit-ready report for the insurer. The renewal went through on it, and several works turned out to be significantly underinsured.

How We Did It

Title Concierge handled the engagement end to end, with our team doing the coordination.

The right specialist in each city: After our due diligence, Title chose a category-appropriate appraiser for each office: a contemporary art specialist in New York, a mixed-media specialist in Chicago, and a photography specialist in San Francisco. One request, one invoice, one point of contact.

Logistics, handled: Title managed scheduling, site access, and the secure handling of appraisal documentation across all three locations. The facilities team’s involvement was limited to unlocking doors.

One report, reviewed: Every appraisal was reviewed for USPAP compliance and consolidated into a single standardized document, so the firm handed its insurer one file rather than three.

The firm’s collection now lives on Steward, our register, and Concierge will run the next revaluation cycle.
